Beauty and the beast - review

Be our guest for a panto that’s truly a tale as old as time! For the first time ever, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre presents the magical Beauty and the Beast this Christmas, featuring Gladiators’ GIANT, alongside panto favourites Tam Ryan and Ian Adams.

Fans of SIX, get ready to “Get Down” to Wolverhampton as original Queen Jarnéia Richard-Noel, who originated the role of Catherine of Aragon, brings sparkle to the role of the Fairy. Joining her is Olivia Mitchell from Waitress as Belle, alongside Tom Lowe (recently seen as King Triton in Unfortunate) and Blood Brothers’ Timothy Lucas.

Step into an enchanted castle with Belle as she meets a captivating cast of magical characters, including a Beast who’s much more than he appears. Can Belle see beyond the monster? Will the Beast learn the true meaning of love before the last petal falls? It’s an adventure filled with laughter, romance, and panto magic that brings new life to a timeless classic. It’s got something for every generation and a touch of that charming panto magic.

This is the third panto I’ve had the pleasure of seeing at the Grand Theatre, and it’s always a seasonal delight, packed with joy, laughter, and a festive spirit that’s perfect for audiences of all ages. This was such a treat and really got me into the festive spirit.

Beauty and the Beast runs at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre until Sunday, 5 January. Don’t miss out—grab your tickets here for a holiday treat to remember!
